Tactile Word Map of an interactive tactile exhibition Life by touches – Let’s discover life of the blind (2013), with continents and unique world landmarks identified (El Castillo in Mexico, Stonehenge in England, St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, St Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow).
Visitors of the exhibition learned shapes and history of the eleven interesting historical monuments through haptic floor plans, side views or 3-dimensional models.
The aim of the interactive haptic exhibition was cognition of castles, churches and other landmarks only on haptic basis, without sight and to empathize with the blind visitors, better understanding of life of the blind people.
