First model

The year of production: 50s of the 20th century

Donor and the last user: Primary Boarding School for the Blind in Levoča 

Braille table for elementary classes of the Czechoslovak State Institute for the Blind in Levoča.

The 2-line and 28-letter wooden table was made by the teachers of the said institute since then there have not been any aids on the market.

The table was also used in the 2nd half of the 20th century. Later it was replaced  with its plastic alternatives.

Second model

The year of production: 60s of the 20th century

Dimensions: 14 x 11 cm

Material: wood

Donor and the last user: Primary Boarding School for the Blind in Levoča

Ball bearing braille table composed of the 5 letters was used by the smallest pupils. Each letter consisted of 6-points set separated by the compartment into which the pupils inserted the balls. The first-graders, after mastering the alphabet, were able to put together simple words like mother, father, Ema and so on.

The year of production: end of the 20th century

Dimensions: 9×12.5 cm

Donor and the last user: Primary Boarding School for the Blind in Levoča

The 6-point pin plastic aid for the blind by which they could learn and create particular letters of the Braille alphabet.
